SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

Resurrection Lutheran Church, 6170 Plank Road, will hold revival with the theme "We Are All Welcome," on Sept. 30. The featured speaker for the service is the Rev. Kevin Dudley, pastor of The Church at North Pointe in Columbus, Ohio, and Affiliated Professor of African American Studies at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus. Five area Lutheran congregations are sponsoring the revival: Christ Lutheran in Fredericksburg, St. Peter's in Stafford, St. Luke's in Culpeper, Our Saviour in Warrenton and Resurrection in Spotsylvania. The offering is designated for the food pantries at Christ and St. Peter's. Eley's Ford Baptist Church, 10401 Elys Ford Road, will hold a homecoming celebration on Sept. 30. Services will start at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Glen Lutz as guest speaker. A covered-dish fellowship will follow on the grounds.

Olivet United Methodist Church, 7676 Stubbs Bridge Road, will hold homecoming on Sept. 30, with music by Amy Ladd and Friends at 10 a.m. and a worship service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Hae Rin Lawson, followed by a covered-dish dinner on the grounds.

Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 18580 Partlow Road, will host a Falling Leaves Faire on Oct. 6, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The event is free and features food, hayrides, games, children's activities, tea room, chili cook-off, elf shoppe, Christmas shopping and entertainment by One Lane Bridge. Spotsylvania Baptist Church, 9223 Spotsylvania Baptist Road, will hold homecoming and revival beginning Sept. 30. Evangelist Rick Via will bring the 11 a.m. message, following by a luncheon. Services will be held nightly at 7 p.m. Sept. 30-Oct. 3, with Evangelist Rick Via. There will be music at each service and love offerings will be received.
