Larry T. Gibson

Larry Todd Gibson, 50, of Fredericksburg died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at his home.

Mr. Gibson was born Oct. 12, 1961 in Holden, Logan County, W.Va. He was a 1979 graduate of Stafford High School. Mr. Gibson had worked as a pressman and printer for several newspapers including the Washington Post. For the past 30 years, he worked as a printer for USA Today. His co-workers will miss him very much.

Mr. Gibson enjoyed his horses, King and Trigger, when he was growing up. His dogs, Bart and Gabby, and cat Hobo were his dear friends. He also had miniature ponies. He was an avid Washington Redskins and Nationals fan. He loved to play golf and go to Kings Dominion. He collected hot air balloon figurines.

Survivors include his parents, Russell and Shirley Gibson; brothers Jason Scott Gibson and William Joseph Gibson and his wife, Janet; two nephews; one niece; maternal grandmother, Mary E. Johnson; uncle Mack W. Johnson; three aunts, one other uncle and numerous cousins; and his special friends, Bruce Brown, Scott Terry and Nelson Kale.

He also leaves behind the love of his life, Rhonda Sumner; and her family, Laynie, Mandy, Chris and Scott Sumner who all loved him and will miss him very much.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1 at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Regester Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.
