William G. Butler, 77, of Caroline County went to be with the Lord Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.
He was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Culpeper to John Carroll Butler and Cora Brown Butler. Mr. Butler had retired as a Lieutenant with Indian Acres Police and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters and a grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Butler; his children, William R. Butler, Gregory Butler, Robert Butler, Timothy Butler, Bonnie Wilkerson, Donna Reynolds and Katherine Castillo; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister.
A visitation will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday Sept. 29, at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery.
