One of the many events around Northern Virginia and vicinities recently was the Women's Health Expo. It was held on Sept. 8 at the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
The hospital itself looks very new, clean building, and is welcoming to visitors and patients. And what a fantastic and helpful program was held between 9 a.m. and noon!
I went to the sign-in booth and was handed a lot of information and a free pink bag, to be prepared for breast cancer month coming up in October. I took all the information I was interested in with me to a chair, sat down and started reading, and I have to say the chairs in the lobby are very comfortable.
The program had so much information on women's health. It had booths on OB-GYN, blood pressure, and health screenings, certain oils (like grapeseed oil) to help lower cholesterol, elder and child care, and even booths for handbags and jewelry.
As I was going down to Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center there were so many places at Southpoint and Cosner's Corner. I know now of some more places to eat, look around, and be merry!
What an exciting morning and quite a learning experience I had at the Women's Health Expo. Discovery of the unknown makes a mind grow with wonders!
