Sullivans celebrate 50th anniversary

On Feb. 16, 1962, Lynwood B. Sullivan and Sterling D. Thrift were united in matrimony at Hulls Memorial Baptist Church, in a snow- storm, by the Rev. Hale in Stafford County. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Danville, where Mr. Sullivan had graduated from technical school.

The Sullivans have two children, Todd and his wife, Tracy, Vicki Sowers and her husband, Jack, and five grandchildren, Taylor, Tannor and Tucker Sullivan and Camden and Cole Sowers.

The family celebrated with a wonderful anniversary dinner at Olde Towne Steak and Seafood Restaurant in Fredericksburg.

Lyn and Sterling are planning a second honeymoon in God's country, Falmouth, in June 2013.
