Alice Isabel O'Keefe Mahood completed her earthly journey on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012.
She was born in Village of Tilting, Fogo Island, Newfoundland, Canada in 1935.
She moved to the United States in 1957, residing in Spotsylvania County and then in Redding, Calif.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Belle Dwyer O'Keefe; siblings Alan, Margaret, Evelyn, Grace and David; husband Chester Eugene Mahood; and son, James E. Mahood.
Alice is loved, remembered, and survived by sister Louise Broaders of Canada; daughters Michelle L. Mahood of California and Mary 'Liz' Mahood-Pecor of Georgia; grandchildren James D. Morgan, Jeff S. Pecor, Kim Mahood-Schuler, Georgia Bennett and Jamie Mahood; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and her lifetime friend, Rosalie Foley.
A private service will be held in the village of her birth at a later date.
