Glen Vaden "Pop" Peacher Sr. of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Stafford County, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012.
Mr. Peacher was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea. While there, he was a paratrooper, a heavy equipment operator and a cook. Mr. Peacher had retired from public works in Prince William County. He enjoyed volunteering at the Flying Circus in Bealeton.
He was a member of Ramoth Baptist Church and Westside Baptist Church in Daytona Beach.
Survivors include his son, Glen V. Peacher Jr. and wife Dr. Anna Russau of Catlett; his daughter, Pam Pullen and husband Garry of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren, Crystal Pullen, Brandon Pullen, Ryan Peacher, Derek Peacher and Scott Peacher; one great-grandson, Mason Pullen; three sisters, Gloria Shepherd of Culpeper, Ethel Spraker of Lottsburg and Elizabeth Mills of Manassas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford.
