The medical community has been on the move in King George County, with doctors changing practices and practices changing locations.
Dr. Rosier Dedwylder, a family practitioner in the Dahlgren area since 1985, has moved from the King George Medical Center to Pratt Medical Center.
Dedwylder will continue to practice in the building he owns on Dahlgren Road. Pratt has named that office the Pratt Family Medicine Dahlgren Campus.
The King George Medical Center has moved about 300 yards away to a new office on Potomac Drive.
Dr. Philip Casey and Dr. Roosevelt Dean will now see patients at the King George Medical Center. The family practitioners had been seeing patients at the Gateway Medical Urgent Care center, near the King George courthouse. Casey also sees patients at his Fredericksburg office.
Lisa Duggan, a physician's assistant who worked with Dedwylder, has moved to the new King George Medical Center office to work with Casey and Dean. The changes took effect this week.
Pratt is one of the oldest and largest physician groups in the area. The King George Medical Center and the Gateway Medical Urgent Care center are owned by SA Medical of Virginia, a Fredericksburg company that owns and manages physician practices.
