Willie M. Taylor

Willie Mason "John" Taylor Sr., 86, of Warsaw died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Groves Taylor. He was a retired, devoted parts manager for Hale Marine, with 40 years of service.

He is survived by three sons, Billy Taylor of Warsaw, Bobby "Bob" Taylor (Rebecca) of Louisa County and Ricky Taylor (Teresa) of Callao; one daughter, Betty Taylor Arnold (Jimmy) of Montpelier; two brothers, Lloyd Taylor (Virginia) of West Point and James Taylor (Mary) of Sandston; four sisters, Gladys Prince of Deltaville, Shirley Callis (Tommy) of Chesterfield, Anna Pearl Johnson of Richmond and Josephine Fauber (Bobby) of Richmond. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Matthew Taylor, Tyler Arnold, Lisa Hall, Stephanie Hobson and Robert Hampton Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Issac and Alayana Hall; and devoted friend Alice Jean Tate of Sharps.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Cobham Park Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.
