Anne M. Harahan, 85, of Silver Spring, Md., died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012.

She was the beloved wife of the late John F. X. Harahan; loving mother of John (and Jan) Harahan, Nancy (and Joe) Huba, Pat (and Fred) McComas, Lois (and Kevin) Chambers and Jane (and Martin) Mangold; and cherished grandmother of Johanna, Timothy, Brian, Genevieve, Joseph, Christopher, Melanie, Megan, Benjamin and Barrett and two great-granddaughters, Brooklynn and Emerson.

She was a native New Yorker who taught elementary school for more than 20 years.

Family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Riderwood Chapel, 3110 Gracefield Road in Silver Spring. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Interment will be private.
