Romney signs don't carry any attribution

We're now about a month from the election, and elections signs are starting to sprout like mushrooms. For several years now, Virginia has had "Stand by Your Ad" laws on the books that require candidates to clearly print on all advertisements an authorization statement that says who paid for the ad or sign.

So you can imagine my surprise when I saw four large signs for Romney this afternoon just before Harrison Crossing Shopping Center on State Route 3; none of which carried any disclosure statements at all!

This seems to be just another example of people who want to lead the country but don't want to follow the rules that apply to everyone. It's the very same thinking that led to the economic disaster we found ourselves in, with people in power ignoring laws and regulations for their own gain.

If someone can't follow a simple law regarding campaign signs, how can we trust him to follow the more complex laws?

I reported the violation to the State Board of Elections.
