'Tire tariff' no boon to American consumers

By now, unless you do not watch TV, you have seen the "tire tariff" ad (approved by Obama).

Do you know the definition of "tariff"? It means: "tax levied upon goods as they cross national boundaries, usually by the government of the importing country."

This tax is paid to the U.S. government, not to the U.S. taxpayer. But, when the U.S. taxpayer buys that tire, he is granted the privilege of paying a higher price (due to the tariff) and he pays sales tax and federal excise tax to our U.S. government. We are surely blessed with double and triple taxation in this country!

Most tire companies in the U.S. are owned by foreign conglomerates. So if you want to know where a specific tire is made, you have to look at the tire. You will be surprised!

Come November, vote. Tell Obama we don't need any more of his hope, promise, and change. We simply can't afford it. If you don't vote, you had better learn another language and the definition of "third-world country"!

The Antichrist--Obama--is trying to pull the wool yet again. Don't allow it.
