Raymond Levi "Plick" Nelson Sr., 55, departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at his residence in Hustle.
He is survived by one son, Raymond Nelson Jr. (and Nichelle) of Chesterfield; one daughter, Denyce Nelson of Washington, D.C.; a special loving friend and companion, Theresa Diane Johnson of Hustle; eight brothers, Jerry Sr., Phillip (and Teresa), Brian and Michael, all of Champlain, James (and Alfreda) of St. Stephens Church, Kenneth (and Kim) of Tappahannock, Tony (and Sandy) of Caret and Bobby (and Sarah) of Ladysmith; three sisters, Joann Newbill (and Wayne) of Northumberland, Phyllis Gray (and Mark) of Champlain and Veda Pickney of Savannah, Ga.; and his stepmother, Ruby Nelson of Center Cross.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Antioch Baptist Church, Champlain, with the interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Goodall, pastor, will officiate.
