Daisy G. Houston

Daisy Garrett Houston, 95, of Partlow died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Henrico Doctors Hospital.

Daisy was born in Brandywine, part of Fort A.P. Hill. She was the daughter of William Roger and Rose Farmer Garrett. She was a member of Waller's Baptist Church and the widow of Ira Pearl Houston.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Diane Bumpass; son-in-law Russell Bumpass; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Houston Bumpass.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Waller's Baptist Church, Partlow.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the church, with the Rev. Dale Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to Waller's Baptist Church or Mount Olivet Baptist Church.
