The Rappahannock Area Community Services Board will host a series of open house events at its five outpatient clinics beginning Thursday.

The events are an opportunity for RACSB to update local and state elected officials on the community-based mental health, intellectual disability, substance abuse, prevention and early intervention services the agency offers. Community residents are also invited.

RACSB receives funding from each of the local governments in Planning District 16. It employs more than 450 people.

"We hope people will learn more about RACSB. We're a valuable asset to the community," said spokeswoman Michelle Wagaman.

"RACSB is a first-responder to mental health emergencies. RACSB is a good neighbor. We operate more than 30 facilities. RACSB is one of the largest employers in the area."
