Spotsylvania County Crime Solvers is seeking information on the following crimes:
Between 5:30 and 9:45 p.m. Oct. 9, someone stole a blue 2002 Volkswagen Jetta four-door, displaying Virginia license XJE 7152, from the parking lot of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 6445 Morris Road. An LG brand cellphone, model NV, and the car keys were left on the floorboard of the unlocked vehicle. The vehicle is valued at $500 and the phone is valued at $200. CFS 12-117695Between 11 p.m. Oct. 7 and 4:30 a.m. Oct. 8, someone stole a silver 2011 Kia Forte four-door sedan from the driveway of a residence in the 100 block of Patterson Avenue in Millgarden South. The vehicle was locked and the license registration, Virginia XED 5268, expired in September 2012. CFS 12-117010
Between 3:25 and 4:20 p.m. Sept. 7, a woman used the restroom at Family Dollar Travelers Row, 6332 Jefferson Davis Highway, and placed a cellphone on the counter and forgot it. A few minutes later, she returned to the restroom and the phone was missing. The woman recalled that one female was waiting to use the restroom. She described her as an older white female with gray hair and a tattoo on the left side of the face. The phone is described as a black Android, ZTE Straight Talk, valued at $240. CFS 12-116848
Between 10 p.m. Oct. 9 and 5 a.m. Oct. 10, someone entered an unlocked van in the unit block of Griffin Court in Stonewall Estates and stole a silver Tom-Tom GPS, one Ryobi hammer drill, two Dewalt Sawzalls, one Dewalt hammer drill, one Milwaukee side drill, and one Hitachi battery-operated drill set. The combined monetary value is $1,355. CFS 12-117799
Between 11 p.m. Oct. 8 and 8 a.m. Oct. 9, someone broke into the Git N Go, 9243 Courthouse Road, through a window and stole cigarettes, beer, alcoholic spirits, clothing, and other merchandise valued in excess of $9,500. Also taken from the garage was a customer's black 2003 Toyota Camry four-door, displaying Virginia JKZ 5979. CFS 12-117390
Between 4:30 and 4:57 a.m. Oct. 10, an unknown female was visiting a man's apartment in the 9500 block of Moore's Creek Drive. When he went to another room, he said, the female took $800 from the dresser and left. The female was last seen leaving the 7-Eleven on Mills Drive. She is described as white, 19 to 22, 5 feet 8, with black hair. CFS 12-117798
Between 1:45 and 10 a.m. Oct. 7, someone entered an unlocked gold 2002 Volvo four-door parked in front of a residence in the 9500 block of Chesterfield Drive in Fox Point. Taken was $416 in cash that was in an envelope inside a wallet. The wallet was not taken. CFS 12-116952
Between 5 and 8:30 p.m. Oct. 6, someone stole a go-kart from the front yard of a residence in the 11800 block of Burgess Lane in Waverly Village. It is described as black and silver with a large dent in the front. The gas pedal is painted red, the brake pedal is painted black, and the brakes do not work. It is valued at $400. CFS 12-117212
Between 12:01 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 6, someone stole a yellow Mini Zoom motor bike, also known as a "pocket bike," from the side of a residence in the 11500 block of Gordon Road. According to the owner it was covered by a tarp, the ignition key is broken off inside of the switch, the right hand brake handle is inoperative, and the engine doesn't always start. It is valued at $300. CFS 12-116503
Between 8:30 p.m. Oct. 8 and 4:30 a.m. Oct, 9, someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a residence in the 6800 block of Violet Drive in Red Rose Village. Taken from the 2000 Toyota Camry was a Garmin Nuvi 225W GPS valued at $150 and a socket set in a Popular Mechanics case, valued at $50. CFS 12-117381
Between 6 p.m. Oct. 8 and 7 a.m. Oct. 9, someone entered an unlocked black 2007 Honda in the 11700 block of Geranium Street in Red Rose Village and stole a black garage door opener that was hooked on the left sun visor. Nothing else was missing. It is valued at $25. CFS 12-117367
Between 5:50 and 6:10 a.m. Oct. 3, someone entered an unlocked van in the 11500 block of Lewis Thorburn Road and stole a black Samsung Galaxy II cellphone valued at $400. Also taken was a cigarette pack containing three cigarettes, valued at $3. CFS 12-115040
Between 2 and 4:30 p.m. Oct. 5, someone stole a key ring from inside a white 2006 Hino furniture delivery truck at Powell's Furniture warehouse, 8635 Corridor Drive. The ring contains keys to the warehouse and other business trucks. Value of the keys is $30. CFS 12-116378
Between 5 p.m. Oct. 6 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 8, someone entered the locked property of Commonwealth Irrigation and Landscape Corp., 9704 Ashley Dawn Court, and stole two vehicle batteries from two company Ford pickup trucks. Both trucks were unlocked. Each battery is valued at $50. CFS 12-117029
Between 9:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Oct. 8, someone stole the orange mail box that was posted near the entrance to property near the roadway in the 6400 block of Sunset Road. There were no visible signs of damage on the 4x4 post. The box is valued at $35. CFS 12-117199
Between 11 p.m. Oct. 4 and 7 a.m. Oct. 5, someone attempted to enter the Stop Shop, 3001 Partlow Road, by smashing the front window. The glass remained attached and entry was not made. Cost to replace the glass is $150. CFS 12-115962
Between 1 and 2 a.m. Oct. 5, someone struck two stop signs near the intersection of Saddlebrooke Drive and Marye Road. The metal poles appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. The octagonal signs were not damaged. A resident reported hearing tire skids about 1:30 a.m. CFS 12-115964
