Kids will go batty for eyeball punch

This orange haze cocktail is for adults only. But for a tamer version, just swap out the liqueurs with alcohol-free syrups.

When entertaining at Halloween, it's not only important for the host to don one of the most creative costumes around, they must also serve up some downright delicious holiday beverages.

And if that weren't enough, these holiday-themed 'spirits' need to be deliciously creepy as well.

And 'creepy' certainly was the inspiration for this kid-friendly delightfully slimy grape "eyeball" punch.

Guests of the younger variety will go gaga for these drinks.

And a not-so-kid-friendly alternative for the adults is a murky and thick "orange haze" libation that blends orange liqueur, chocolate liqueur and honey.

And if the eyeball punch doesn't sate the ghoulish appetite of your guests, you can up the creep factor even more by peeling the grapes before adding them to the other ingredients.

There are two ways to do this: First, you can freeze the grapes (wash them, then arrange them on a rimmed baking sheet keeping them apart, then freeze), then run them under warm water to loosen the skins.

Alternatively, you can plunge the fresh grapes first into the boiling water, then into the ice water to loosen the skins.

Here's to having a ghoulishly good Halloween!
