Charles A. "Charlie" Baum, 76, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012.
Mr. Baum, a veteran of the United States Navy, served from 1952 to 1956, and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 20 years. He was employed as a produce supervisor for over 20 years, and later was owner and operator of Monroe Press in Fredericksburg.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marge Martin.
He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Edith Field Baum; daughters Patricia Taylor and husband Jim of Westminster, Md., and Pamela Schiess of Tampa, Fla.; sons Charles Baum Jr. of Roswell, Ga., Stephen Baum and wife Shana of Hampton, and Russell Baum of Alpharetta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister JoAnn Walz of Florida; and brothers Roy Baum of Baltimore and Fred Baum of Houston, Texas.
Services will be held in Fredericksburg and Baltimore, Md., at a later date.
