Spotsylvania County holding rabies clinic
Spotsylvania County will host a rabies clinic on Saturday, 8 a.m.-noon, at the Holbert Building parking lot, 9104 Courthouse Road. The clinic is open to Spotsy residents and nonresidents alike.
The cost is $6 per shot for dogs or cats. Animals must be at least 4 months old.
People may preregister through the Spotsylvania Treasurer's Office on the first floor of the Holbert Building. People can purchase vaccinations and dog licenses there, then bring the receipt the day of the clinic to get the dog vaccinated and the dog tag.

Stafford choral society extends sign-up date
The Stafford Regional Choral Society has extended registration through Oct. 28 in preparation for the annual Christmas concert, which will be held Dec. 16.
Rehearsals are on Sundays, 6-8 p.m. in the Colonial Forge High School chorus room. Singers from high school through adult are welcome. The group especially welcomes male vocal part singers.

AARP Safe-driving course scheduled in Stafford
An AARP driver safety course will be offered at the Stafford County Public Safety Building, 1225 Courthouse Road, on Oct. 29 and 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days.

artist will discuss her photo creations today
Maura Harrison, who currently has an art exhibit at the Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts Members' Gallery on Sophia Street, will answer questions about her work 1-4 p.m. today at the gallery.
Harrison will discuss using Photoshop to create photo composites, and high school students and Photoshop enthusiasts can ask how each work in the "Exit the Edge" exhibit was created.

Colonial Forge sets annual craft fair
The 14th annual Colonial Forge Craft Fair will be held Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Colonial Forge High School, 550 Courthouse Road in Stafford County.
The event is sponsored by the school's athletic booster club. Admission is $1.
