Don't 'boot' me, bro!

Regarding "City drivers get the boot for unpaid taxes" [Oct. 11], if a citzen has unpaid property taxes usually there is a reason--the state is charging unjust taxes. Secondly, if you place a boot on someone's car, how does the city expect the person to pay? He or she won't be able to get to work or go look for work.

This is totally unjust and unfair. It's one thing for the city and council members to make laws, but something like this is totally wrong.

As a resident of Fredericksburg, I pay my taxes but from time to time I get behind due to the economy. In the last year, I have lost my job making over $55,000 a year and my wife has been out of work for over eight months.

In May, I got a job making half of what I used to make but the taxes keep on coming and there is no end in sight. This tax is ridiculous and I think the boot idea is totally wrong.
