James Thomas "Jimbo" Anderson, 66, of Spotsylvania County, and most recently of King George County, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at his home.
Jimbo was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joys were nurturing, giving and taking care of his family. James was a member of Chancellor Baptist Church and had retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 43 years, Vickie Wood Anderson; son James Christopher Anderson and wife Michele Sousa Anderson of Fredericksburg; daughter Heather Dawn Simmons and husband Robert Tyler Simmons of Port Royal; and four grandsons, Austin, Alex, Zachary and Kingston. He is also survived by one sister, Nancy Gail Hall of Staunton; two nephews; and many devoted friends and family.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
