William Cleveland "Bill" Perkins, 57, of Spotsylvania County passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.

Bill graduated from James Monroe High School in 1973 and from JMU with two degrees in 1978.

Bill is survived by his fiancee, Teresa Ann Madison; his aunts and uncles, Joe and Nancy Flowers, Ike Perkins and Winnie Browning; his brother, Bruce Perkins; numerous cousins; and his close friends Linda, Dean, John, Alex and Brad. He also leaves his cats, Stella Louise and Ellie Mae, whom he referred to as "Daddy's girls."

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Perkins.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fredericksburg, with the Rev. Lowell Wright and Joe Flowers officiating.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Trinity Baptist Church, 135 Mansfield Road in Mineral.
