Joseph K. Weedon, 82, of King George County passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in King George, Mr. Weedon served four years in the Army with Company C, 407 Engineer Battalion, in Alaska during the Korean War. Joe had retired from Lebanon Chemical Co. after 30 years of service.
He is survived by a sister, Eva Honeycutt of Birmingham, Ala.; a brother, Jerome Weedon of Richmond; his special nephew, James Weedon, his wife, Theresa, and their children, Joshua Weedon and Katherine Wilson and her husband, Justin, all of King George, who were his caregivers for the past four years.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George. A service will begin at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Warnick officiating. Interment will be held in Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
