If America's energy resources are utilized from Virginia to the Gulf and from the Appalachians to the North Slope of Alaska, the result would be creation of hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs with more affordable fuel, food, products, and electricity. Americans could enjoy a manufacturing renaissance and our country would be less vulnerable to hostile regimes, keep our money in the U.S., and the federal government could receive more than $1 trillion in revenues without raising taxes.

We must rein in our overreaching, overspending federal government. I have long advocated for commonsense reforms that will force Washington to balance its books just as families, businesses, and states do every day. We need to add a balanced-budget amendment and presidential authority for a line-item veto to the Constitution--and we should withhold members of Congress' pay if budgets/appropriation bills are not passed on time. Under Harry Reid's reign, the Senate has failed to pass a budget in more than three years. It's time to get back to basics: In the Senate, I'll stand for commonsense priorities.

We need to make sure Washington stops the devastating cuts facing our military--without raising taxes that would impose even more job losses in this fragile economy. The first place to stop more than a trillion in spending and a trillion in new taxes is to repeal and replace Obamacare.

COME TOGETHER

We can come together and agree on positive solutions. With your support, we will do it in Washington. I respectfully ask for your vote so that together we can bring Virginia values, ideas, and reforms to Washington and build a better future.

Nov. 6 is our generation's rendezvous with destiny. Please stand for freedom and the opportunity for every American to succeed.
