A man was critically injured Saturday afternoon in a dirt-bike accident in Chesterfield Estates just northwest of Culpeper. The man, 22, was reportedly attempting a triple jump on a homemade motocross course when he lost control and was thrown from his bike, which landed on him. Paramedics treated the rider for a collapsed lung and other internal injuries. Dirt-bike rider injured in Culpeper accident
A 22-year-old man was critically injured Saturday afternoon following a dirt-bike accident in Chesterfield Estates just northwest of Culpeper.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was reportedly attempting a triple jump on a homemade motocross course when he lost control and was thrown from his dirt bike, which then landed on him.
Paramedics at the scene treated the rider for a collapsed lung and other internal injuries.
He was later airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
