When I go to a doctor or hospital, they have to see my insurance card and get my Social Security information.
What if I said I didn't have insurance but had a Social Security card, would I be treated and then billed?
Some people who don't have insurance use all of their savings and lose their home and have a large debt over their heads the rest of their lives. Are illegal immigrants asked if they have insurance and a Social Security card? Are they billed, or is everything written off?
I understand from nurses that illegal immigrants don't have to pay a cent. Are they even billed? If not, is this taking care of our citizens?
