How can Donnie ask about Satan?

How can Donnie ask about Satan?

Is the Bible confusing? Yes, at times it can be. But not concerning Donnie Johnson's question "Can we find good in Satan?" [Oct. 19].

Donnie speculates that Adam and Eve's beginning "without sin" meant they were not sexually active. Really, how can anyone deduce that?

Sinning occurs when anyone acts against God's words and I believe His words were quite clear in Gen. 1:27-28 when, after creating them male and female, God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiple; fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over every living thing on the earth."

This declaration occurred before Satan came on the scene and deceived the woman into acting against God's word. "Being without sin" therefore cannot be interpreted as not being sexually active. As a matter of fact, not being sexually active would have been a sin since their Creator told them to be fruitful and multiply.

Now back to the question of "Can we find good in Satan?" God's own word says "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit." His word also states that Satan is a liar, a thief, the Evil One, the adversary that prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Sounds like a bad tree to me! Now really, Donnie, how could you or anyone find any good in Satan?
