A local Realtor who answered questions about short sales during a Money Talk$ webchat on fredericks burg.com will offer a free webinar on the subject on Nov. 15.
Amy Cherry Taylor, who is the managing broker of the Fredericksburg regional Avery Hess Realtors office, will present "411 on Short Sales: What you need to know now!" from 7 to 8 p.m. at amy cherrytaylor.com/webinar. (A hot link will be available in my What's In Store? blog on fredericks burg.com.)
"This session is going to simplify the process and hopefully lend clarity to your individual situation," Taylor said in an email.
Her webinar will cover short-sales options and where to go for information in participants' specific situations. She'll also discuss what to expect throughout the short-sale process and when the appropriate time is to consult a Realtor and get other professional help.
The PowerPoint presentation will cover such questions as:
Are you having trouble making your mortgage payments?
Are you already behind? Have you suffered a job loss or a relocation and become unable to sell your home for what you owe on it?
Do you already have a foreclosure sale date scheduled on your home?
There will be a question-and-answer segment at the end, and questions can be submitted in advance.
Advance registration is needed so participants can be sent an access code, and they are encouraged to send in questions to Taylor at
Email: firstname.lastname@example.org before the webinar. She will answer questions at the end of the program, and participants will have access to handouts afterward.
Taylor, a Spotsylvania County native, began her real-estate career in January of 2003 and has sold more than $75 million in residential real estate in the greater Fredericksburg area.
She is a graduate of Chancellor High School in Spotsylvania, and received a bachelor's degree in communication from George Mason University in Fairfax.
