Christine "Martha" Latane Darby of Tappahannock departed this life on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at her residence.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine Darby Johnson (Larry Sr.) of State College, Pa., and Sylvia Darby Allen (Alfonso) of Tappahannock; three grandchildren, Larry A. Johnson Jr., Anthony H. Johnson and Teresa Y. Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Anthony H. Johnson Jr., Jaylen N. Johnson and Lalia S. Johnson; one sister, Vivian Latane; a devoted niece, Anita Latane; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at First Baptist Church in Tappahannock. Interment will be private.
