Tabernacle Methodist Church, 7310 Old Plank Road, will host the 58th annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Auction on Nov. 22 in the multi-purpose room. The dinner, 5-6:30 p.m., will feature homemade sausage and home-cured ham biscuits, potato salad, coleslaw, homemade pie and drinks. Sylvannah Baptist Church, 8400 Courthouse Road will celebrate the 145th church anniversary at the 11 a.m. worship service on Nov. 18, with the pastor, Dennis Woodard, delivering the message. The pastor's 33rd anniversary will be celebrated at the 3 p.m. service with Bishop Marvin Mason of Manna Christian Fellowship in Richmond as guest preacher.
