Joseph Coleman "Bogie" Bogert, 67, of Stafford County passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at his home.
Born in Quantico, Bogie worked for the Library of Congress Copyright Office for 34 years.
In addition to being a devoted husband and father, he had a passion for riding his motorcycle through the Virginia countryside. He also took great joy in making others smile, either with a joke or a kind word.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Sally; son Chris and his wife, Bonnie; daughters Heidi and Megan; and grandson Jackson.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home, 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, with the funeral beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Stafford Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to Capital Caring Hospice.
