Bertha Mae Covington, 86, of Bowling Green died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.

Born in Woodford, she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Fort A.P. Hill and had been attending Bowling Green Baptist Church.

She was the widow of Carlton E. Covington, to whom she was married for 49 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Cecil and her husband, Stuart; a son, Richard Covington and his wife, Karen; two sisters, Alma Collawn and Ruby Carter; two brothers, Henry "Peter" Martin and Jessie Martin; and three granddaughters, Stephanie R. Covington, Karla Covington and Courtney L. Taylor and her husband, Jeremy.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Storke Funeral Home.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Newsome and the Rev. Greg Webber officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
