Downtown Culpeper fabric shop sets ribbon cutting

Exquisite Fabrics Inc. will hold a ribbon cutting for its new location in downtown Culpeper at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Owner Moe Rezvan sells imported, designer and couture fabrics as well as basic printed and solid cottons, linings, notions, ribbons, trims and buttons.

His shop at 127 West Davis St. was previously located in northwest Washington at The Shops at Georgetown Park.

That mall is being redeveloped, and owners let the shop's lease, along with dozens of others, expire earlier this year.

The awards are based on traveler reviews.

Chestnut Hill, which has six guest bedrooms, is near the intersection of U.S. 15 and State Route 20 in Orange.

Troy and Kathleen Ayers bought the 1860 Italianate and Greek Revival home at auction for $1 in 2003.

They then moved it 150 feet to enable an access road to Prospect Heights Middle School and renovated the property to its current state.

Dollar General submitted plans last week to build a stand-alone store near the Woodlawn neighborhood in the southern portion of Stafford County.

Plans call for a 9,200-square-foot building on the south side of Deacon Road and east side of the intersection with Cleremont Drive.

Dollar General already has a nearby store at 282 Deacon Road.

Like other retailers, Dollar General has been replacing stores that are part of multi-tenant retail buildings with more visible stand-alone locations.
