Warning at Fatima: 'Chastisement' draws nigh

November 28, 2012 12:10 am

Michael Gerson, in his Nov. 18 column "GOP's salvation lies in being more 'Catholic,'" maintains that the Republican Party will "remain on a long, downward slope toward irrelevance" should it continue to lose the Hispanic vote by overwhelming margins.

Actually, if people do not stop offending God by engaging in attacks on life and the family, there will be no future at all.

Both the Catholic Church and the world are on the brink of a great chastisement as the Blessed Virgin Mary prophesied when she appeared to three shepherd children at Fatima, Portugal, in 1917. Russia is to be the instrument of this chastisement.

To prevent this, Our Lady asked for the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays and that the pope in union with the bishops of the world consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. When this is done, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace.

When Our Lord appeared to one of the Fatima visionaries at Rianjo, Spain, in 1931, he warned, "Make it known to My ministers, given that they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My command, they will follow him into misfortune." In 1689, Jesus appeared to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque and requested the public consecration of France by the king to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This was not done, and the French Revolution occurred 100 years later.

We are running out of time.
