Return to story
For the week or so before the recent presidential election, we were bombarded with scenes on television, stories in newspapers, and calls on the telephone warning about long lines, equipment problems, and suspected voter fraud at various polling places.
When we went to vote at Rockhill Elementary School in Stafford County, we walked right in, got our ballot, voted, and walked out, all in less than five minutes.
We didn't even have a parking problem. As we've come to expect in Stafford County, the folks who plan, set up, carry out, and supervise our election process did an outstanding, thoroughly professional job.
Thank you to all involved for your dedication and commitment to making voting in Stafford as pain-free and pleasant as possible.
