Two teenagers were arrested Wednesday morning after confronting a teacher inside a classroom at Massaponax High School, Spotsylvania Sheriff's Capt. Mike Harvey said.
Four students who are all related--two boys and two girls--went into a classroom to confront a teacher as school was beginning, Harvey said.
The students thought she had information about the whereabouts of a stolen jacket and created commotion inside the classroom where other students were present, Harvey said. The female teacher reported that the students cursed at her and threatened to beat her up, he said.
An administrator responded to the classroom and the students were ushered into the office where one of the students balled his fist as if to strike the school's resource officer, Harvey said.
A school staff member called 911 when the students appeared to be out of control. Additional deputies responded, Harvey said.
Deputies charged Jonathan Milton, 19, with assault on a law enforcement officer, a felony, and with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, Harvey said.
Darius Baker, 18, was charged with disorderly conduct, he said. Both young men were released after appearing before a magistrate.
Petitions were being obtained Wednesday charging a 16-year-old girl and 17-year-old girl with one count of disorderly conduct each, Harvey said. The older girl also faces two counts of threatening school personnel, a misdemeanor, Harvey said.
No one was injured.
