Justin Brian Hall, 41, of Flagstaff, Ariz., formerly of Locust Grove, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012.
Justin Brian Hall was born Aug. 12, 1971, in Fredericksburg to parents Brian and Lynda Hall of Locust Grove. Justin graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University as an aeronautical engineer. He worked for BF Goodrich and the Department of the Navy as a project engineer developing ejector seats for airplanes.
After hiking the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia, Justin moved to Phoenix, then to Flagstaff. A lover of nature and the outdoors, he was an avid rock climber, hiker, certified scuba diver, certified skydiver, certified arborist and a member of the U.S. Parachute Association. Justin also participated in a 3-week course with Outward Bound and raced in the 85-mile Athens to Atlanta rollerblade race two years in a row.
Justin, who strived for excellence in everything he did, will be remembered for his integrity, intelligence, kindness, compassion and sense of humor.
Survivors include his parents, Brian and Lynda Hall; sister Jenny Lynn Hall; and niece Lindsey Brooke Breeden.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
