Robert Hughes Curtis, 95, of Stafford County passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mr. Curtis was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II . He retired from the Naval Surface Warfare Center at Dahlgren. Mr. Curtis was a member of the Patawomeck Indian tribe and Virginia Sheriffs' Institute.
Survivors include his daughters, Ruby Courtney and husband Spencer of Falmouth and Donna Jenkins of Stafford County; five grandchildren, Debbie Yeagle, Karen Rupp, Glenn Hann, Michelle Jenkins and Jennifer Scafone; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia C. Curtis.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
