Vincent R. Miller, 86, of Bowling Green died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at his home.
Born in North Carolina, he retired after 42 years with Brooks Lumber Co. He then worked for Fredericksburg Auto Auction for 15 years.
He was a born-again Christian and attended Temple Baptist Church. An avid NASCAR and Redskins fan, he also enjoyed bluegrass music and duckpin bowling.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Miller. Survivors include his wife, Maxine P. Miller; two children, Linda Meadows of Fredericksburg and Jerry Miller of Spotsylvania County; three stepchildren; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Michael Reid officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, in Rich Hill Cemetery, Glade Valley, N.C.
