Harold T. Minor Sr.

Harold Thomas Minor Sr., 75, of Stafford County passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012.

He was born Dec. 11, 1937, in Spotsylvania County. Over the years, he was employed at Riverside Convalescent Home in Fredericksburg and the FMC plant in Fredericksburg until it closed; he worked in construction, helping to build the Goddard Space Center in Greenbelt, Md., and Gallaudet College in Washington; and he also worked at Mary Washington Hospital for 20 years until his health began to fail.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Minor II and Josephine Minor.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Cornelia Elaine Minor; his three sons, Harold Jr., Michael Sr. and Andre Sr.; his four brothers, Fred Minor Sr., Clarence Minor, John Minor III and George Minor Sr.; and his three sisters, Shelva Fletcher, Deloris Wright and Gladys Jackson.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. The funeral will be held at noon Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Beulah Baptist Church, 5216 Arcadia Road, Woodford, with a one-hour viewing before the church service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
