Ruben C. Deyo Sr., 79, of Washington, D.C., formerly of King and Queen County, departed this life Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Alexander S. Pope Funeral Home, 5538 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, Md. 20747.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 21180 Bagby Road, Sparta, Va. 22552. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
