Barbara Jones Self, 78, of Fredericksburg died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at her home.
Mrs. Self started working at The National Bank of Fredericksburg after graduating from high school, and retired as executive vice president with 44 years of service. She was a member of Falmouth Baptist Church and the Lydia Fidelis Sunday school class. She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 29, Wilderness Chapel Group and the NORVA Airstream Club.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James H. Self; two daughters, Caryn Self-Sullivan of Fredericksburg and Barbara Self Quann and husband Daniel, of Hartwood; three grandchildren, Angie Sullivan and husband Eric, Patrick Sullivan and Sarah Sullivan; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Sullivan, Katherine Sullivan, and Braeden Drugatz; brother Clifton E. Jones of Orlando, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Lee and Loney Jones; and her brothers, C. Douglas Jones and James T. Jones.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the funeral home. The Rev. Leslie A. Powers will officiate. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
