Charles Roy Graham, 79, of King George County died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at home.
Charles was born in 1933, in Washington, D.C., the son of Myrtle Baldwin Graham and Roy Graham. He attended Fork Union Military Academy and Eastern High School in Washington, D.C., and Prince George's Community College, where he received an associates degree in Recreation Leadership. He retired after 20 years with the D.C. Fire Department. Charles and his wife, Jean moved to King George in 1988, where they enjoyed living on the shore of the Potomac River. Charles was a member of the Retired D.C. Fire Department Association, the VFW, the American Legion Post 148 in Colonial Beach and the King George County Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jean Marie Moore Graham; three devoted children, Ginger Lee Hill, Roy Graham (Cherlux June), and Gena Lynn Bussink (John S.); six cherished grandchildren, Valerie Jean Hill, Violet Mae Hill, Jonny P. Graham, Jeanie Mina Graham, Georgia Lily Bussink and Graham Lawson Bussink.
Services will be private.
