Bethlehem Baptist Church will hold their New Year's Eve service, with dinner served at 9 p.m., praise and worship at 10:30 p.m. and the service will begin at 11 p.m., with the Rev. Charles Hilliard and Second New Hope Baptist Church as guests.

New Destiny Baptist Church, 11903 Bowman Drive, will celebrate the Christmas holidays with a worship service on Dec. 30 at 10 a.m. The two-part Christmas message, "God Has Arrived," will be preached by Pastor Joel Nelson.

Zion Hill Baptist Church, 10411 Cooktown Road, will hold a Watch Night service on Dec. 31, with dinner served at 9:30 p.m. The Rev. Bullock will deliver the spoken word.

Spotsylvania Presbyterian Church, 11121 Leavells Road, will hold a 10 a.m. worship service on Dec. 30. 540/898-HOPE;


Living Word Fellowship Church, 1500 Stafford Ave., will hold a New Year's Eve service at 8 p.m., featuring a prayer/praise concert with the Realizm band group, Harry Gore and Spike Burton. 540/898-2937.


Trinity Fellowship International Church, 181 Kings Highway, will hold an ordination service on Dec. 30 at 11:30 a.m., for Deacon Howard Nelson. On Dec. 31 there will be a New Year's Eve service from 10 p.m. to midnight, followed by breakfast. 540/370-0148; trinity

Berea Baptist Church, 28 Fleet Road, will welcome Eric Prevatte as guest speaker on Dec. 30 at the 11 a.m. service. He will also minister with special music. There will be a short business meeting after the service. 540/752-4406.


Mount Tabor Baptist Church, 21795 Mattaponi Trail in Milford will be evangelizing on Dec. 31, noon to 3 p.m. at the Rite Aid in Bowling Green.

A New Year's Eve celebration will be held Dec. 31, with a fellowship dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. and a Watch Night Service from 8 to 10 p.m.

On Jan. 6, the church will celebrate the opening of "Kidz Zone" at 11 a.m. On the first and second Sunday of each month, Kidz Zone will be available for school-age youth to praise and worship God in their own way and in their own space under adult supervision.

"Friends and Family Day" will be held Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. This event will be held the first Sunday of each month. Pastor Clinkscales will deliver the message and a special reception will be held with pastor and first lady in the fellowship hall, directly after morning worship.


St. Stephens Baptist Church, 9142 Comorn Road, will host a Watch Night service on Dec. 31 at 10 p.m., with the Rev. Harry Wallace of People's Union Baptist Church of King George, accompanied by his choir and congregation.


First Baptist Church, 619 Jackson St. in Colonial Beach will hold a Happy Hour worship service on Dec. 30 at 8 p.m., with preaching by church youth minister Roy Starkey, music by the Young Sisters in Christ and the Rev. Delvin Williams, minister of music.
