Area Redskins fans excited for big game on Sunday
Date published: 12/30/2012
"It's been a long time since you've had a meaningful Redskins-Cowboys game," said Carey, who purchased the tickets at the beginning of the season. "It couldn't have worked out any more perfectly."
Tickets are still available for tonight's game, though good seats will cost you what you'd pay for a late-model used car.
StubHub, one of the online ticket markets, had 537 tickets for sale Friday evening. Ticketmaster had 404 tickets at its resale site.
The cheapest tickets on StubHub were a pair of standing-room-only tickets in section 440 of the upper deck. The owner was asking $212 per ticket. Choice seats on the sideline in the lower bowl were pricier: $9,999 each. Fourteen of them were available.
Grice, the woman who has tickets for the party deck, said her husband, Mike, will wear Redskins apparel, but only if she promises not to post pictures of him on Facebook. He's from Pittsburgh and normally roots for the Steelers.
Still, Mike Grice said he's excited for the Redskins: "It's their time."
