Donald Wenger, 62, of Richmond passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharon; his daughter, Jessica and her husband, Travis Koshko of Charlottesville; and his parents, Harold and Beatrice, sister Melinda Smith and nephew Trevor Smith, all of Fredericksburg. Leia the cat will surely miss those evenings spent napping on his lap.
Donald graduated from VCU in 1973 with a degree in economics and worked at Shevels at Eastgate Mall before joining IBM, where he was a customer service representative for 38 years. He was awarded eight IBM Means Service Awards.
Donald was a wonderful husband, terrific father and caring son. He planned the best vacations ever and thought nothing of driving 15 hours in a day. He enjoyed spending time with his family and made them a top priority in his life.
A service honoring his memory will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 903 Forest Ave., Richmond. A reception will follow.
