FREDERICKSBURG

First Christian Church, 1501 Washington Ave., will celebrate the fourth ministerial anniversary of Senior Pastor Joseph Reed at an 11 a.m. contemporary service on Jan. 6, following the 10 a.m. all ages Sunday school. Guest speaker will be Minister Vernon Simmons of Little Union Baptist Church in Dumfries. Guest worship leader will be Anthony Campbell of Fredericksburg. 540/373-7716; 1stchristianchurchfredva.org.

The Christian Women's Fellowship will meet on Jan. 9 at 10:30 a.m. in the Newman Fellowship Hall and the Men's Breakfast/Bible Study will be at 8 a.m. on Jan. 12 in the fellowship hall.

The church will also hold a Wellness Ministry program every first and third Sunday at 4 p.m., to learn how to lose weight and keep it off. For details call 540/834-3230.

STAFFORD COUNTY

Berea Baptist Church, 28 Fleet Road, will present music by Martha Covington on Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. Communion will be served. 540/752-4406.

CAROLINE COUNTY

Mount Tabor Baptist Church, 21795 Mattaponi Trail in Milford will celebrate the opening of "Kidz Zone" at 11 a.m. on Jan. 6. On the first and second Sunday of each month, Kidz Zone will be available for school-age youth to praise and worship God in their own way and in their own space under adult supervision.

"Friends and Family Day" will be held Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. This event will be held the first Sunday of each month. Pastor Clinkscales will deliver the message and a special reception will be held with pastor and first lady in the fellowship hall, directly after morning worship.

GOSPEL SINGS/CONCERTS

St. Jude Catholic Church, 10725 Courthouse Road, will hold a Christian Music Cafe on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m., featuring an open-mic format to share the many styles of Christian music.
