Joyce M. Pelczer

Joyce M. Pelczer was called home on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, as her work in this life is complete. Joyce was born and raised in her early years in Tazewell and then moved to Yorkshire in Manassas before settling in Stafford County later in her life.

Joyce is having a glorious reunion with her husband, Joseph Pelczer; her father and mother, Edgar and Lil Mitchell Powers; her brothers Pat, Mike and Buddy Powers; and her sisters Mary Lou Powers, Jenny Turner and Judy Moore.

She leaves to carry on her legacy her children, Thomas and Sheila Randall, Tim and Sherry Hunter, Kelly Pelczer and Kathleen Shanahan; her grandchildren, David and Julie Miller, Jessica Randall, Cassandra, Alison and Amber Hunter, Briana Pelczer, Chase and Triston Pelczer, Adia and Daysha Shanahan; great-grandchildren Noah and Madison Miller and Joseph Randall; sisters Linda Nelson, Phyllis Carson, Carol, Ethel and Alcena Powers, Loretta Wright, Donna De- Rouen, Elaine Black; and brothers Jack Wright, Donny Moore and Don Powers; and an endless number of loving nieces and nephews.

The family will gather at noon on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, for a viewing, with a service following at 1 p.m. to celebrate her life and legacy at Covenant Funeral Service, 1310 Courthouse Road, Stafford.

Interment will follow resting her tired body in Stafford Memorial Park on Shelton Shop Road in Stafford beside her husband, allowing her soul to continue to rejoice in the renewal and freedom.
