Kathy Brodie Lambert, 46, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 28, 1966, in Cumberland, Md., she grew up in Lonaconing, Md., and Annapolis, Md.
After graduating from Easton High School, she moved to Lake Anna, where she established herself as an award-winning real estate developer, agent and broker. In 2007, Kathy was a founding partner of Lake Anna Island Realty.
She shared her zest for life, passion for all things Lake Anna and her love of the Outer Banks in North Carolina with her beloved husband, Bobby, and dog Jaxson. She is also survived by stepdaughter Ashleigh Lauren Lambert of Dallas; loving parents Leah Jean Cook Brodie, and father John "Jack" Edward Brodie and wife Nancy; loving sister Bonnie Jean Langford; nieces Amy Beth Brown and husband Justin, and Julie Nicole Langford and fiance Rob Howden and great-nephew Jeremiah Jack, all of the Eastern Shore of Maryland; Bobby's parents, Bob and Shirley Lambert of the Outer Banks; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Larry Laverty, and their sons, Andrew and Jacob, of Haymarket; and her entire extended Lake Anna family.
Notification of Kathy's celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to University of Virginia Medical Center, Box 800773, Charlottesville, Va. 22908-0773, in memory of Kathy Brodie Lambert.
