FREDERICKSBURG

Mount Zion Baptist Church, 309 Wolf St., will welcome the Rev. Ronald Cooper, associate pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site), as the guest speaker on Communion Sunday, Jan. 13, at the 11 a.m. service. 540/373-5553.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

Second New Hope Baptist Church, 3836 Summit Crossing Road, will hold the Deacon, Deaconess and Trustee Fellowship celebration on Jan. 13 at 3 p.m., with the Rev. William D. House III, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Mineral as guest speaker, along with his choir, ushers and congregation. Lunch will be served prior to this service, at approximately 1 p.m.

New Life Anointed Ministries, 11001 Houser Drive, Suite 12, will celebrate the fourth anniversary of Pastor Rick White and First Lady Larkett White on Jan. 13 at 3:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Bishop Eugene Reeves, pastor of New Life Anointed Ministries International, along with choir and congregation. 540/898-7177; thelifesouth.com.

Beulah Baptist Church, 5216 Arcadia Road, will present the initial sermon of Deacon Randy Phillips, who has been called to the ministry and will preach on Jan. 12 at 3 p.m.

The Beulah Thespian Ministry will present the play, "Midnight Cry," on Jan. 19 at 5 p.m., featuring a cast of youth, deacons, trustees and adult members of Beulah.

Church of Messiah, Episcopal, 12201 Spotswood Furnace Road, will hold the final day on Jan. 13 for the collection of canned goods in support of Boy Scout Troop 77's Zach Rudden, as he completes his food drive to assist the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank as his Eagle Scout project. Parishioners are encouraged to bring canned goods to both services, leaving all donated items in bags in the collection bin at the church. churchofmessi ah.org.

STAFFORD COUNTY

Berea Baptist Church, 28 Fleet Road, will hold deacon ordination for Chris Anderson on Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. 540/752-4406.
